It has been a whole day of new beginnings…well ok just one large one and one small one however large nonetheless. I started a new job today, no not with a new company with the same one I have been with for a year to this day it is however I new job. There is a new aura about it, a newness that I haven’t felt since I first started to work for one of Canada’s largest banks (I’ll let you figure out which one).
Today I started helping to train people at my work to do the job that I used to do and let me tell you its a lot harder than most people think. I am exhausted but not tired, just the kind of tired you know means you did a full days work.
On smaller new I started a new book today and this will probably have a larger impact on the grand scheme of things than my new position at work will. I started to read “Blue like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality” By Donald Miller and so far I’m very very impressed. I’ll give more detail however in 6 short chapters I’ve been near tears about my own spiritually a number of times only to find myself laughing the next moment, very fulfilling.
Anyways, a new day brings new challenges. I shall write more on this book as I delve deeper into its meaty digital pages (I’m actually listening to it on my ipod….but its still reading I swear!) hopefully that will be sooner than later, but until then….I must take leave of you now.
